Who Make It All Happen



Samantha Pretto

Chef Samantha Pretto is in charge of Culinary Operations at The Dark Room. She has expertise in Sauté, Sauces, Pastry, Baking, Charcuterie and Preserves, making a perfect compliment to our culinary program. Ms. Pretto resides in Saint Louis and is also working in conjunction with our in-house Catering Program.


Brett Singleton

Brett Singleton is the General Manager of The Dark Room at The Grandel. Singleton has been working with the Kranzberg Arts Foundation for several years in a marketing capacity, helping to communicate and further the Foundation’s mission to provide opportunity and infrastructure to St. Louis artists. He has also spent time in The Dark Room’s kitchen preparing food for the restaurant’s new and extremely popular Sunday Brunch as well as working as a chef in catering with Hanson Management Group Culinary. A veteran of the St. Louis marketing community, Singleton previously served as Director of Marketing for Ballpark Village and had a 17-year career covering multiple field and corporate marketing and sales positions at Anheuser-Busch.
