St. Louis Paranormal Research Society Presents “The Grandel Theatre Haunted Dinner Tours”

February 13, 2018

$65 General Admission (includes dinner)

At the top of a small hillside in the heart of Grand Center sits the beautiful and mysterious Grandel Theatre. Built in 1884, this stately limestone structure was originally The First Congregational Church.

Throughout its 134-year history, the Grandel has been the site of several reports of unexplained paranormal activity. Now, after months of research and investigation, the St. Louis Paranormal Research Society has gathered evidence supporting these claims are true! On Tuesday, February 13th, STLPRS has exclusive access to this cultural gem and is excited to partner with the Grandel Theatre in offering its FIRST EVER interactive Haunted Dinner Tour!

Guests will choose from several options (menu is listed below), creating their own three-course dinner, prepared in the Grandel’s award winning, in-house venue The Dark Room. Dinner will be followed by a 1.5 hour, behind the scenes tour, led by one of the St. Louis Paranormal Research Society’s paranormal investigators.

Guests will explore areas of the theatre normally “off-limits” to the public using the same high-tech investigation equipment used by our investigators. The STLPRS will also conduct TWO spirit communication sessions in known paranormal “hot spots”!

The Grandel Theatre Haunted Dinner Tour is perfect for everyone-from foodies to well-seasoned ghost hunters!

Transitions: Food of the Youths, Ripple Wave Shadow, and Ashes

The Dark Room photography gallery opens the 2018 Exhibition Season with Transitions: Food of the Youths, Ripple Wave Shadow, and Ashes, a three-series exhibition featuring new works by Tasha Nicolé Burton.

Transitions – Tasha is currently in a transition and so is her work. As she progresses from one chapter to the next in her professional life, the three bodies of work evolves in a way that displays detachment and junction simultaneously.

Food of the Youths – This photostory is a brief look at a larger series on the snacks provided to the school children near the artist’s residence. Daily, what’s left behind in the school’s field changes and becomes integrated into a new environment.

Ashes – Activated charcoal with its heaviness and its complete darkness gets manipulated by strokes of a tiny spoon on wood and marble canvases creating starkness, separation and balance.

Ripple Wave Shadow – It is impossible to recreate the same pattern as speed, motion, thickness and tools develop the differences from one batch to the next. This group is a study in sacred geometry and its complexities.
